      Introduction/short description of the course

Immersive storytelling is a narrative experience that deeply engages the audience or participants, creating a sense of presence and involvement within the story. It aims to transport individuals into a fictional or constructed world, where they become active participants rather than passive observers.

Traditionally, storytelling has been conveyed through books, films, or theatre, where the audience remains detached from the narrative. However, immersive storytelling uses various mediums and technologies to enhance the experience and blur the lines between the real and the fictional. Immersive storytelling can be achieved through different means, including:. Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR),  Mixed Reality (MR), Trans-media Storytelling, Escape Rooms and Interactive Theater
